Charles BILLICH

Charles Billich was born on the Italian-Croatian border in 1934, and came to Australia in 1954. He studied art in Zagreb, Vienna, Salzburg, Manila and Melbourne. Charles conducted a commercial art gallery in St Kilda for a while before coming a full time painter and art consultant. He nows sells from his large gallery at The Rocks in Sydney, where a huge variety of his works can be viewed.

His paintings are in Queensland Art Gallery, Exhibition Building Trust, RAAF, City of Melbourne,
Art Bank, National Bank and many Private and Corporate Collections.

Highest price for a Charles Billich work at public auction was $6,800 (Oil on canvas, signed, dated 73 lower right, 91 x 91 cm, Est: $2,000-2,500 Elder Fine Art Adelaide 08/10/2006, Lot No. 140).
