John BLOOMFIELD

John Bloomfield was born in the UK in 1950 and studied at the National Art School Sydney, also taking up a position as art lecturer.
Bloomfiled has exhibited widely in mainstream galleries in Australia, including at the AGNSW in 1984.
He has won many prizes and awards, including the Hooper Scholarship, Moya Dyring studio scholarship in Paris (awarded by the AGNSW), and the Perth Portrait Prize in 1980.
represented: AGNSW; AGSA; Artbank; Australian war Museum; University Of Illinois USA; Institutional and Private collections in Australia and the USA.
