Peter Browne was born in 1947 in West Wyalong NSW. He claims to have been found under a sheet of tin in West Wyalong around 1947. Peter moved into a ruin at Silverton and established it’s first art gallery, where he held court for travellers entertaining them in his almost roofless “renovated “ ruin for many years. Browne is well known for his quirky outback paintings. At his working studio in Windsor, (late of Silverton via Broken Hill) has an eclectic art studio – a delight for lovers of humorous paintings of Aussie outback life. Peter has 40 years experience in the art world and his pieces are much sought after.
