Arthur HAMBLIN

Arthur Hamblin was born in Bendigo in 1933. He is a mainly self-taught artist working in oils, acrylic, and watercolour. Hamblin undertook study tours in Europe, the UK and the USA in the 1980s. He was appointed as the official artist to accompany the Bicentennial event of 1988 ‘The last Great Cattle Drive’, a 2000 kilometre walk from Newcatstle Waters NT to Longreach, Queensland. Hamblin has held regular solo shows in Darwin and Mornington, and other parts of Australia. Awards include the Bendigo Rotary prize. Represented: NTMAG; Stockman’s hall Of Fame, Qld; Institutional and private collections in Australia and overseas.
