Benjamin LANDARA

Benjamin Landara was born in 1921, and was schooled at the Hermannsburg Lutheran Mission West of Alice Springs. Benjamin married Albert Namatjira’s eldest daughter Maisie. Landara started painting in the late 1940s, often painting alongside Albert Namatjira, who encouraged him and actually had a hand in some of Benjamin’s earlier works.
