Bernard LAWSON

B. J. Lawson studied at the NGV School and later at the George bell School. He also taught at classes held by The Victorian Artists Society.

Lawson was noted for his wide variety of painting styles and media. He held many solo exhibitions, mainly in Melbourne, and won the Mornington Peninsula Art Prize, the VAS Dean prize, the VAS cato Prize, and the Camden Art Prize.

Works are represented in the NGV and private and institutional collections in Australia and overseas.
