Leonard LONG

Leonard Hugh Long is probably the quintissential Australian landscape painter. Born in 1911, Long was raised in Mittagong, where he developed an early love of the Australian landscape. Later he moved to Nowra where he perfected his talent and techniques as an artist before taking up full time painting in 1955. For well over 50 years now, he has been delighting collectors and art lovers with his exceptional renditions of the grandeur of the Australian countryside. Long has held many successful solo shows over the years, and his works are always popular at public auctions. Works by leonard Long are held by major gallery and private collections here and overseas. Leonard Long was awarded the OAM in the 1993 Australia day honors list for services to art in Australia.
