Norman LINDSAY

Norman Lindsay is one of Australia’s best known and most prolific artsits. His output ranged from political cartooning to illustrating (now iconic) childrens’ books, to his famous and sometimes controversial nude and semi-nude studies. His watercolours and oils command very high prices, the latter being comparatively rare on the market as he sold few of them (most of the best are held by his estate at his home in the Blue Mountains). He also produced many hundreds of pencil and ink drawings and was a prolific etcher.
