Gerard Mutsaers was born in Holland in 1947, arriving in Australia as a child in 1952. A traditional landscape painter, he has become renowned for his renditions of the subtle colours of Australian rural landscape. Mutsaers has held numerous solo shows. Works are represented in private and institutional colections in Australia and overseas. Many works have been purchased for corporate boardrooms including by the Insurance Council of Australia, Westpac, Tokyo Electric Company, Tokyo Gas, and BHP Australia. In 1984 two of Gerard’s artworks were presented to HRH The Prince Charles during his visit to Australia.
